Last weekend, I managed to "persuade" my boyfriend to come along with me to this newly opened pastry shop in Sri Petaling. Specializing in macarons, this patisserie started out online & gained popularity along the way to finally open up a brick & mortar store in Sri Petaling, KL.
When i reached the store around 4pm on a Saturday, it was packed with people and I had to line up for a seat. Seeing the good response, i was glad i came to check it out.

The cafe currently serves desserts & drinks only, so fill up your tummy before coming here. Or come here hungry and try out each pastry on display!

Part of the desserts available
After much deliberation, I finally ordered...

From top to bottom (clockwise): Iced Summer Tea (RM 9), Dark Chocolate Bear Macaron (RM 8), Mini Passion Fruit & Mini Kaffir Lime Macaron (RM 3 each), The Sweetheart (RM 14)
Let me start with what I loved. I adored the macarons which had a soft and chewy texture. Moreover, the macarons had just the right amount of sweetness. I could easily polish off the 3 macarons by myself but of course I "willingly" shared it with my bf. Hahaha...he probably sensed that I liked it so much that he only took tiny bites (*silent victory dance*). While the macarons were fantastic, the Iced Summer Tea and The Sweetheart were a bit of a disappointment. The Ice Summer Tea was diluted with just a hint of sweetness and not much else. Meanwhile, The Sweetheart which consists of Yoghurt mousse, raspberry gelee, Belgium milk chocolate ganache and a biscuit base was like eating milky "agar-agar" (milky jelly). The biscuit base was paper thin, making it barely there. Perhaps a thicker biscuit base would have added a contrast of textures to the soft jelly-like dessert and made it more palatable. Furthermore, overall, the dessert was lacking in sweetness or any other taste for that matter.

Bear Necessity (RM14)
Overall, service was good and the macarons were worth the trip. Would love to try their "Bear Necessity" cake and "Salted Egg Yolk" Macaron the next time I'm here and hopefully, they would have added some savoury dishes to their menu.
Service : 4/5
Ambience: 3/5
