Maya Bay @ Phi Phi Island
Sun, sea and sand. Phuket has all these plus great massages and good food. So if you're craving for a beach holiday that is affordable, why not give Phuket a try.
Day 1: Arrive in Phuket - Check-in Hotel - Bangla Road - Jungleceylon
Arrived in Phuket and checked into Journey Hub Hotel. Love this place as the rooms are spacious and clean. Most of all, they serve great breakfast and the staff are attentive and friendly. After checking in, we went to check out Bangla Road where there are many vendors offering day tours around Phuket. The more you book, the more you can bargain...expect to pay around 1000 baht per person for a day tour to Phi Phi Island, etc.
If you are around Patong area, I would also recommend going to Jungleceylon Mall where they have international restaurants, some souvenir shops and lots of massage/nail parlors. The massages here are so good and affordable...about RM38/1000 baht for an hour of basic body massage.

Day 2: Phi Phi Island Tour
Day two in Phuket was a trip to Phi Phi Island. Highlights include snorkeling in crystal clear waters, beatiful limestone cliffs with turquoise waters at Pileh Cove and also visiting Maya Bay.

Day 3: Dino Park Mini Golf - Windmill Viewpoint - Indy Market - Chillva Market
On day three, we chartered a private car with driver from Deedee Phuket. Besides hiring a private car, you can also rent a car/motorbike and self-drive around Phuket.

Dino Mini Golf was definitely a fun experience for my husband and I. This place is suitable for all ages and it doesn't matter if you haven't played golf before, you can still enjoy yourself here.
There are 18 holes all together and the whole place looks like you have stepped into Jurassic Park. Expect to spend about 1-1.5 hours here and since the place is outdoors, it is advisable to come early morning or in the evening as it won't be so hot.

Windmill Viewpoint

Windmill Viewpoint
As its name suggests, Windmill Viewpoint is a lookout point with gorgeous views of the sparkling blue-green ocean. From here, you can also see Ya Nui beach. I spent about 30 mins here taking photos and enjoying the scenery.

Chillva Night Market
The last stop for day three in Phuket was Indy and Chillva Night Market. Indy Market featured about 50 stalls selling clothing, accessories and mostly food. I only spent about 30 mins here as the items sold were geared mostly for the younger crowd: 25 and below. Also, there weren't many choices. Similarly, i wasn't too fond of Chillva Market either although Chillva Market has much more vendors than Indy Market. If you've been to Chatuchak Market in Bangkok, you might want to skip Indy and Chillva Market.
Day 4: White Water Rafting - Flying Fox - Elephant Trekking - Waterfall
Day four in Phuket was spent on a day tour featuring the activities above. I booked my tour online. This tour was only so-so for me. I really liked the water rafting part but the other activities were just alright. The flying fox was just a short distance of about 300 meters. Meanwhile, I wouldn't go for elephant trekking anymore as I witnessed the elephant being beaten while carrying us on top of his back. I don't want an animal to get hurt just so I can have a little fun...

Day 5: Flight back to KL
Overall, Phuket is a good place to visit if you enjoy beaches and a laid-back environment. I spent about RM1,600 per person including flight, hotel, food, transport and day tours. If you plan to visit Phuket, do check out in advance the best season to go.
