Hey. I visited Seoul,Korea last month (Oct 2016) and had a lot of fun. Will share my experiences on the blog starting with this post. I booked a one-day tour with Trazy.com which offers various Korea tour packages. Their tour guides can speak English and the one I met was super-friendly! Basically, we went to 3 different places on this one-day tour:
1. Garden of Morning Calm
Our first stop of the day was "The Garden of Morning Calm". It is a beautifully landscaped garden about 2 hours from Seoul city center. We spent about 2 hours there, marveling at the beautiful scenery that surrounded us. It is a nice place to walk around, admire nature and take pictures. Highly recommend this place as it was very calming and suitable for all ages. Each season offers different types of flowers in bloom and festivals are held throughout the year.

2. Nami Island
Our next stop was the famous Nami Island, located in the Northern part of the Han River. The island has many scenic spots with Gingko, Metasequoia and Korean Pine Trees. It is also the place where the popular Winter Sonata film was shot. You can rent bicycles to cycle around the island and they are many restaurants/cafes where you can grab a bite while enjoying the view. However, food & drinks are a bit pricier on the island. For example, a cup of coffee/hot chocolate would cost you around RM20. If you want to save some money, you can prepare some foods beforehand and picnic at the many grassy fields on Nami Island.

Picnic at Nami. Bought this Minion Coffee Milk at GS25...a convenience store with many branches in Seoul
3. Gangchon Bike Rail
To end the tour, we got on a four-seater "bicycle" at Gangchon Rail Bike. At this place, you need to cycle your "bicycle" along a certain track. Along the way, you get to enjoy views of paddy fields, mountains, rivers and more. You will also enter a few tunnels whereby fun music is played. The whole journey lasted about 1 hour and ended way too soon. My boyfriend and I had so much fun. Don't worry though, it was not tiring at all as not much strength was needed...our bicycle even had a 60 year old uncle who seemed fine after the ride :)

Having way too much fun. Can't you tell by our huge-ass smiles :P

End of the rail bike tour :(
This one-day tour was definitely the highlight of our Korea Trip. Some people visit Nami Island on their own but after calculating the costs, I think going on a one-day tour is more worth it. Following the tour saves you the hassle of transport issues, booking entrance tickets and timing issues.
If you are interested, you can book your tour online at Trazy.com
That's it for my 1st post on Seoul. Stay tuned as I will be blogging about my Hanbok experience next week :)
